Money consisting of snail shells or seashells (mollusk money) is used by many cultures. Sometimes from the entire shell, sometimes from parts of them, takes that form of money all imaginable shapes. The use of shells as money is not limited to any particular part of the world; in one form or another it is well-nigh universal.
