The piece of two francs is the most commonly used Swiss coin. Since the introduction of the franc in the year 1850, approximately half a billion have been minted. The coins image changed in the course of time, however: Until 1874, Helvetia was depicted sitting on a plow, with a view on the Jungfrau towering in the background.
