The Greek euro-coins feature a unique design for each of the eight coins. The 1-euro-coin depicts a 5th century BC tetradrachm from Athens, hence a coin in a coin. The ancient Athenian tetradrachm ("four drachmae") was the most widely used coin in the Greek world.
