Migration Period, Undefined Germanic Issue in the Name of Magnentius, Maiorina? (obverse) Migration Period, Undefined Germanic Issue in the Name of Magnentius, Maiorina? (reverse)

This coin was minted by one of the Germanic tribes, who increasingly expanded into the Roman Empire during the 4th century. According to the diameter and the weight, the piece could be a maiorina. The coin image, on the other hand, would rather indicate a double maiorina. It shows the portrait of Emperor Magnentius (350-353 AD) on the obverse, while the reverse depicts the chrismon, which is made from the Greek letters "X" (= Chi) and "R" (= Rho) for Christ.
