This piece of 5 schillings equaled 2 batzen and was therefore known as 'two-bätzler' in vernacular. In Zurich two-bätzlers were marketable money towards the end of the 18th century, but only few of them were in circulation. They were used as pay for members of the 'Grand Council'. At the end of each session, every member of the Council of Two Hundred got such a coin, carefully wrapped in paper.
